Karen Persis spearheaded efforts on behalf of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar to raise awareness to and funds for the One Orlando Fund during The Florida Bar’s Annual Convention, which was held in Orlando the week after the Pulse massacre. In addition to planning a banner signed by convention attendees, and distribution of flyers regarding the Fund, she organized funds to be donated by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division as a board and also through individual board donations. #OrlandoUnited

Karen Persis is honored to be selected as a Rising Star in Florida by Super Lawyers; an honor she has received every year since 2010. 2.5% of eligible attorneys in Florida are selected as a Rising Star each year. To be eligible one must be under the age of 40, or in practice 10 years or less. The selection process includes peer evaluation, nominations by peers, and independent research. Then, a “Blue Ribbon Panel” evaluates the data to select the honorees. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees!
